History and use of ball valves

Ball valve appeared in the 1950s, with the rapid development of science and technology, production process and product structure of the continuous improvement, in a short period of 40 years, has rapidly developed into a major valve class. In the industrialized countries of western countries, the use of ball valves is increasing year by year. In China, ball valves are widely used in petroleum refining, long-distance pipeline, chemical industry, papermaking, pharmaceutical, water conservancy, electric power, municipal administration, steel and other industries, playing a decisive role in the national economy.

Ball valve is mainly used to cut off or connect the medium in the pipeline, can also be used for fluid regulation and control, among which the hard sealed v-shaped ball valve has a strong shear force between its v-shaped ball core and surfacing welded hard alloy metal seat, especially suitable for fiber, micro solid material and other media. The multi-pass ball valve in the pipeline can not only flexibly control the media confluence, shunt, and flow direction switch, but also can close any channel and make the other two channels connected. This kind of valve should be installed horizontally in the pipeline in general.
